I've been thinking alot about wedding shoes lately. I love how brides are incorporating color into their wedding with their shoes! I also love the idea of dying your shoe to fit ur needs. These are some of my favorites and are totally dyeable.

Can you believe WAMU has been seized and sold to JPMorgan!? that's just frightening. Where is this economy thing gonna stop! I wonder....Well as an account holder at wamu I have no idea what to do. Maid of Honor Duties

As maid of honor to my dear friend Fernanda, I've been incharge of helping her choos a bridesmaid dress. A feat harder than I imagined. the wedding is less than 3 months away and still no dress!! Sunday we are going to meet up and choose one for good. (it doesn't help that I live in Miami and she lives in Fort Lauderdale either). Vegan Recipe

Some things we don't even thing of as vegan, really are great vegan plates! I just made this cuban yuca with mojo recipe to eat with brown rice, black beans and broccoli. It was delicious!!!

In-Class Blogging

I'm in class. I've been swamped! Yesterday I did an observation and an aquatic therapy place that works with cerebral palsy kids and autistic kids. It was great. and all the time in between work and school i have been working on my doctoral project! what a pain! I'll be glad when that's over! so my post might be....well not so good and not everyday..but i'll try my best!

I'm Addicted

Chocolate never did me any good, although i loooove it. So this is not chocolate but it is delicious just the same. I'm def addicted. and it's good for you. Malt sweetened. Carob is very interesting thing too read about it here (apparently the word carat comes from carob!). It's great for making vegan deserts too! It is available at whole foods.

Awesome Hair

I did this to my hair the other day and got tons of compliments. I loved the technique and usually waves don't stay on my hair but this lasted all day!!! you gotta try it!

Good News!

I don't have Lupus!! yay!! apparently they don't know what I have but the Dr. said that he had nothing but good news! Everything he tested was negative! Thank you Lord! I am so thankful words can't describe.

Vegan News (at least to me)

Amy's Kitchen has a vegetable NON-DAIRY pot pie!! yay!! I love pot pies!!! I havent tried it yet (they didn't have it in Publix) but i will. maybe whole foods has it...

So, one of the hardest parts of being vegan is..well the ice cream thing. I have tried soooo many dairy-free ice creams and they are just..not the same. I finally found one I love!!! It's great (still not the same though but delicious!) i'm eating it right now.

Weekend Round up

This weekend was so much fun!! Here's a pic from Diana's b-day (all my fabulous lady friends). Besides all the b-day fun, mikey finally took me to forever twenty one where I got that hat i wanted and blogged about here, and some fabulous purple feather hair accessories and great ruffly shirt. It had been so long before i bought anything!!! needless to say i am very excited about this occurrence.

On that note, this post my design mom gave a list of fashions must have for fall. I LOVED this list! (specially since it seems i was right on target with my recent purchases :D. Here is the list- directly from designmom:

1) Purple. Leaning toward berry, not toward lavender.
2) The Romantic Blouse. Something with ruffles or lace.
3) The Top Handle Bag. Bonus: it comes with a shoulder strap. Which makes things much easier for Moms-on-the-go who need two hands at all times.
4) Tailored Dresses. Put away the a-lines, and opt for something a little more refined.
5) Boots. Any style. Any height. Any heel. Any boot.
6) The Statement Necklace. Something chunky, big or bold.

And for Men. Plaid. Plaid. Plaid. Plaid ties, plaid pants, plaid shirts. (Preferably not all at once.) Add something plaid to your husband's wardrobe and you'll be good to go.

Weekend Already?

it feels like i just came out of a weekend and its already friday!!! yay!! so my plans for this weekend consist of mostly birthday parties. two to be exact-my friend Diana's sat night and my cousin Ka on sunday. I love birthdays -can't wait!

Yesterday I almost bought the feather headband and the cute hat i posted about at my cousins, but the internet was too slow there and we had to leave. Maybe i'll buy them today. I've been really preoccupied lately with things i can't really blog about ...YET. Soon....I can't wait for that either! I hate not being able to spit out everything I know...

Anyways...lets hope our friend Ike heads in a different direction otherwise I will be EVACUATING! hehe some tropical storms would be nice though...that way we'd miss school and there would be minimal damage :D

I've had such an amazing weekend! so much fun. I did everything i planned on doing and more.
Mon- we went bowling, then picked up some goodies at whole foods and then went to the pool where we played cards and talked and laughed..it was great. i think we left the pool like at 10:30!

Today i'm pretty plan-less. i don't have school or work- but everyone else does so....i went to look at flowers with mikey's mom- that was fun. Anyways... here r some pics of the concert we went to sunday night. BTW john mayer is kinda crazy- he got drunk on stage and took of his shirt...
